Christian Hofmann LMU Munich

Christian Hofmann is Professor for Accounting and Control at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) of Munich. His research focus is on the usefulness of accounting information in capital markets and for performance evaluation. His current work concentrates on the incentives in hierarchies and dynamic incentives. He is editor of the Journal of Business Economics and the Journal of Management Accounting Research, for which he is also responsible as editorial board member. His research has been published in several leading journals such as the Accounting Review and the Contemporary Accounting Research.

Deborah Schanz LMU Munich

Deborah Schanz is Professor of Taxation and Accounting at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) of Munich. Her research interests include the influence of taxation on investment and financing decision-making, tax accounting and international taxation. She is member of the executive committee of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB). In addition, she is head of the working group “taxes” of the Schmalenbach- Gesellschaft and member of arqus, working group quantitative business taxation. Her work is published in leading refereed and professional journals such as the Contemporary Accounting Research, European Accounting Review, Review of Managerial Science and the German Zeitschrift für Betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung (ZfbF).

Nina Schwaiger LMU Munich

Nina Schwaiger is Assistant Professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) of Munich. Her research focus is on the role of formal and informal controls in explaining firm behavior. Her current work concentrates on management control in hierarchies and the role of sustainability. Her work has been published in the Journal of Business Economics and Accounting and Business Research.

Thorsten Sellhorn LMU Munich

Thorsten Sellhorn is Director of the Institute for Accounting, Auditing and Analysis at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) of Munich. His research interests include International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the role of accounting information in capital markets as well as accounting quality and earnings management. His research is published in leading international journals like Management Science, The Accounting Review, European Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies and Abacus. He is a co-author of a leading German textbook on international accounting, Internationale Rechnungslegung, and is president (2019-2021) of the European Accounting Association (EAA).
